Google UK planning to be ‘Evil’ ?

I happened to be present at a presentation from a major manufacturer here in the UK where they discussed some new proejcts they had and details of plans they have been working with Google UK to implement.

Whilst I cant say anything in detail due to the restrictions of the NDA I can say that I spent almost all of the meeting arguing hard with the manufacturer that the plans they and Google had would in effect change the method that Ads were served with the serps.

The change, I argued, was not in the interest of the other advertisers. I havent had a great deal of dealings directly with Google but this meeting has further tarnished my view of their ‘ Dont Be Evil ‘ mantra. In my opinion they are the same as any other global corporation. As soon as I can say any more I will and ill say it in detail – im bursting to !
